Why you should always be wary of ANY information source

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Fred_Saberhagen#Death

Remember folks: any corporate owned website, newspaper or TV station is trustworthy, any privately owned web page is not, according to Wikipedia.

Therefore, I can believe Fox/ Sky News rather than Harlan Ellison.

Never mind the policies, anyone acting as a moderator / editor on wikipedia needs basic schooling in journalism.

    1. I know. The stereotype that it’s run by the modern equivalent of the most dysfunctional usenet users circa 1992 keeps getting borne out. It should make it’s mind up whether it wants to be “respectable” or not: if it wants to be “respectable” it needs professional editors, or at least editors held accountable to professional standards. Not “respectable” also works, but they’d have to ditch the parts of the rules that play into the hands of emotionally retarded egostists. Like the insistence on “professional” citation.
